Tendedero is a free, open source Mac app that hangs every screenshot you take on a line just above your screen. Rest the pointer in the menu bar and the line glides down. Click a photo to copy it, hold it to mark it up, drag it into any app or folder. This page is a working demo: take a screenshot with the toolbar at the bottom.
About Tendedero
Free and open source (MIT), by Alejandro Buján. Launched on October 7, 2026.
macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon and Intel. Signed and notarized by Apple. No account, no network access, no analytics.
Gestures: click to copy, press and hold for Markup, double click for Preview, force click for Quick Look, drag into an app or folder, drag to the Trash or click the cross to let it go.
Screenshots can skip the Desktop and the floating thumbnail; screen recordings and copied images hang too.
